Guest Artist: How to Make Burnt Marshmallows into a Tree

Meet my friend, Mary Ann. She made this fresh, Springy, landscape from batik and hand painted fabrics. Note the hand embroidered grasses in the fields and beautifully stitched tree and leaves. The tree is is her first attempt at free-motion stitching! She is using our hand-dyed Burnt Marshmallows Size 12 thread in the needle.

This gal has talent!

Mary Ann has a solo show coming up in May that is sponsored by the Tippecanoe Art Federation. You can see this piece and more of her work at the Wells Center, 638 North Street in Lafayette, IN. The show runs May 13 - June 17 (opening is May 13 at 6 pm).

Congratulations Mary Ann! And thank you for sharing your work with us.
