On today's How To Tuesday, I'd like to show you the miracle of Strip Fusing! But first, just to relieve your fears, strip fusing has nothing to do with the amount of clothing you are wearing. It is simply a way to make a striped pattern with your fused fabrics.
Here's How to Strip Fuse: Begin with fused fabrics that are cut into strips measuring about 1/2" to 1" wide and 6" long (or any length, I don't care, do what you want, you know you will!). Use straight or decorative rotary cutter blades.
Lay one strip of fabric glue side down onto Release Paper or a Teflon sheet and fuse-tack into place. Overlap another strip about 1/4" on top of the long side of the first strip of fabric. A good tip is to always overlap the darker value fabric onto the lighter value fabric. Fuse-tack that strip into place. Continue to add more strips until the set of stripes is the length you want.
After the fabric cools, remove the strip fused collage from the release paper and cut into any shape you like. Now wasn't that easy? We should all be strip fusers.

I must try this today!
Love the style of your 'stripping' - very NICE... :)
I like the wonky, liberated strip fused piece on top. Very cool!
I love that idea and the idea of using stripes and wavy pieces for a background. Fusing it first, would be a simpler way to add them to the background.
