Every bird wants sharp points on her tail feathers. We all like to be well groomed. And no doubt it helps while in flight to have pointy tail feathers. So when you are stitching the edges of shapes (like tail feathers) with an Outline Stitch, how do you make a sharp corner with your stitching?Outline Stitch: When you reach the corner of a shape, insert the needle at the tip of the corner at Point A. Now exit the fabric about 1/4" down the edge of the next side of the shape at Point B. Draw the needle and thread through Point B.
Re-insert the needle into Point A. Now exit the fabric at Point C which is about half way between A and B. Draw the needle and thread through Point C.
You have now turned the corner! Don't you feel good!
