You have to admire Lyric Kinard. Not only was she able to get me to sing the Chicago School of Fusing Fight Song for her blog (see her post from yesterday) but here she is appearing cool as a cucumber.

Lyric is minutes away from filming her Quilting Arts Workshop DVD called Surface Design: Sampler Platter. We both were on set (as they say in show business) filming with Pokey Bolton of Quilting Arts on the same day. My most vivid memory of our filming was her shopping for fresh vegetables for a demo of fabric stamping with said vegetables.

The rest of the time was a show biz blur.

Lyric is so cool that she recently was awarded the title of Teacher of the Year by the International Association of Professional Quilters! If you haven't taken a class with her, now is the time.

It's also time to win a copy of my book, Fanciful Stitches, Colorful Quilts. Visit Lyric's blog today and you may be a winner!

Hi Laura
Glue murderer here....:o) Been enjoying different artists highlighting your work! LOVE IT!

Love your 3x3 apple basket! Not sure I'd call it a sinful pleasure but it IS beautiful! What color did you use for your basket? Its beautiful and so are the stitches! Not sure I recognize them but I'll get my book our and see if I can define it.
Keep up the great work!
