Another really cool die from the AccuQuilt GO! Baby die stable is this puppy, the Sparkle-Jumbo Tree (#55094) designed by Sarah Vedeler. They may call it a die for cutting a tree but I have other plans for it!

How to Use the Sparkle-Jumbo Tree Die (Without the Tree Part)
- Rather than use plain rectangles of fused fabrics in the die, start with a large collage of fused fabrics.
- The collage fabrics are overlapped and fused onto release paper.
- After the fabric cools, the paper is removed.
- The collage is cut into rectangles the size of the die.
- What happens next? It's a surprise!
What to do. What to do.
Or place them on the border of a quilt to add a little pizazz?

I hate being the first one to comment but I'm excited about the GO cutter. I had never thought it could be so useful until I saw your samples. I am making an art piece with random colours and these shapes would be perfect. I'm not sure how they became curved but I'm willing to learn
I'd like to toss these little pieces all over the top of a quilt made from solid fabrics - just like confetti. And fuse them down where they fall.
So cool! I really do love how you think outside the lines, Laura! This week you have really started me thinking of ways to use shapes and patterns in a different way from what they were intended! As I have been saying...I'm thinking of jewels, crowns and a quilt fit for a queen!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....the possibilities!!! Maybe I've got grandchildren on the brain, but I'm thinking turkey feathers. Something fun for the Fall (which hopefully will finally come - this heat has been horrific). And yet something random and fun would be great as well....hmmmm....what to do what to do...
I know it's not in the least original - but I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina and would recreate the peaceful mountain scene I see every day. Then, I might give it to friends living in a major metro area to help them relax after a stressful day of urban living!
Oh Laura - you and Accuquilt Go Baby cutter are quite a team! Love the spontaneous and creative quilt ideas! My fav today is collaging fabric before cutting!

I love that you show us multiple uses for the die cut shapes and the negative spaces as well. This is much more interesting to me than the traditional use. I like the flowers. I also like how you used the multiple colors before you even used the die.
I'm not sure of all the possibilities but I'd like to give it a shot!

Every morning I see the creative transformation of pre-cut pieces surprised me a lot.
Very successful fusion of pre-cut fabric! imagine a piece mimicking inlaid on canvas ....
Make rows and rows of interlocking diamonds with them, then use as fabulous fields in a large quilt

I think they would look nice in a quilt border alternating the convex and concave bottoms.. but the convex bottoms are faced UP and the concave bottoms are faced down.. making a long line.

I love Matisse's paintings. The dies that you are showing would make gorgeous Matisse style collages. I also love the idea of using this die for borders.

My GoBaby has just been sitting until summer visitors and obligations are over. I have still to use it myself. It's been used by others. This particular die for a Christmas quilt. Hmmmm. I wonder.
Those could also be little "bodies" in dresses (convex) or pants (concave) if you just added a circle head and little strip arms and legs.

The triangles could be used to make the rays of the sun, roofs of houses, dragon teeth, or the spikey things on the back of a dinasaur. They could be slices of pizza, or the obvious, trees. They could be arranged to be the background of a quilt too. This is getting to be too much fun. I'll stop now.
So many wonderful possibilities! How fantastic these would look on CQ's, or I could design a color baby quilt for my granddaughter, who is expected to arrive in October. I could make matching pillowcases, and grow a beautiful scrap garden. Yes, please add me to the draw.
Candy corn, ice cream cones, kites, little Christmas trees, sections of a chinese dragon...oh my.
How about making faux Mariners Compass blocks with the shapes. Fuse a circle over the center of course.

Your ideas for the Go! are just incredible -- I see the tree die and think trees. You've really opened my eyes to the possibilities.
I'm kind of into medallion thingies right now, so I'd add some lace, sparkle, and sheers and splash them all over things. Then I saw that purple tree skirt on the AccuCut ad--gorgeous!
The Go! cutter certainly opens up a lot of possibilities. Just dyed fabric last week. It would be fun to experiment.

Wow, stars, suns, flowers, beachballs, ice cream cones, cheese wedges, pizza slices -- hmm, I must be hungry. The possibilities are endless, not to mention the traditional blocks that could be done, kalideoscopes, crossed canoes, and more. How fun!!

There are so many ideas flowing through my head now after seeing what you did with those "tree" shapes. Funky party hats, animals, wings, flowers, other kinds of trees, sun rays, etc.... I sure would like to win!
Diamonds are a girls best friend...I see a splattering of diamonds within diamonds to make a sparkling quilt!

I love the thought of using fused pieces before using the Go cutter. I could see these shapes to make pennants or triangle banner flags.

Well, I kind of like the tree, Laura. But, I make a lot of things using the hexagon shape and if I had this die I would try to work out making some hexagons with it incorporating that curve.

I would like to make a quilt to donate to my church's regional office that features a map of all the congregations in the region. These triangles made with the AccuQuilt Go Baby could be stylized representations of the steeples of the churches.

Love the fused-fabric idea! I'd fuse together a bunch of my very small scraps, then make some flowers and a border for a large square pillow cover.
I think that this die would be great for making a mini bunting block I could also use it to make a fair quilt using the shape to make and make it look like the tops of the midway lights. Ooooh, it's August, and when I see triangles with concave bottoms and big circles, I'm thinking ice cream cones, in all of my favorite flavors. I could see making a wall hanging covered in ice cream cones in various stages of consumption/melt, in a rainbow of summer colors. On the beach, of course.

Fusing a collage of fabrics together - pure inspiration! I'm thinking all sorts of dies could be used to make all sorts of different applique pieces for little skirts, shirts, and dresses. My little girls would love it!

I love squares. Squares within squares or with circles in them, or with triangles... or squares on one side of the quilt with bigger squares... I am getting an endless supply of ideas!

Wow! I think you can make sparkley suns and moons with this die. It seems so handy to be able to cut out multiple shapes at one time.
As I drove along the interstate today, I started thinking about all the possibilities for the triangle die. Cats ears, rays of the sun, spikes on the collar of your "tough" dog quilt, spikes along the back of a dinosaur, and of course for my favorite very short haircut in a portrait quilt. It is very freeing to think of uses for a shape, before actually starting. A rather serendipitous approach!
I've said it before and I'll say it again...YOU.ARE.AMAZING! I have looked at this die a whole bunch of times but passed it by. Afterall how many triangle shaped trees does one need? What would I DO with this die?

Would the sections work in a Dresden formation? Not that different to your flowers of course really. With the mix of fabric colours as youve used here, which is such a clever way of using up oddments too!...youd have a rich serendipity of pattern in amongst the dresden circle surely?

I would use these shapes to make an abstract piece using several different color ways.
I see fish in those little shapes, at least some of them.
Couldn't pass up the remote possibility of winning that fabric cutter! I could see using these to make a forest of little pine trees with the convex and concave bottoms making a pattern against the sky. But I would probably add these to make some kind of abstract design with other shapes.
I see trees...lots of trees like the Happy Painter painted around the lakes in Canada!

Ohh....water...(think as in Bruce Cockburn) for a project I've had tumbling around in my fuzzy little brain.
Fabulous scales(from some metallic sort of fabric or other media) for a dragon's chest...or colorful beaks, and wing feathers(layered and off-set) for a whole flock of wonderful,colorful birds.
I love this one - it would be fun for a tree, the flowers are adorable, confetti is another option. Thanks for offering such great inspiration!!

What a great way to use up your fusible scraps. Fuse them together and cut them into shapes. I have fusy scraps left. Now I've gotta play!
I see the shapes in my garden. I would love to cut shapes with lots of colors, many different greens for sure, and recreate a scene in my garden. Never realized the Go could be so creative.
I see bird feathers maybe even a peacock. Lots of possibilities.
