The excitement builds as the young Artfabrik employee prepares for her trip to the International Quilt Festival in Houston. This week she is packing her hand dyed fabrics and threads for shipment and discovering a startling fact:

She is totally unprepared!
There are threads to label and fabric to press and patterns to stuff and way too much for one person to do. But the anticipation for her annual pilgramage to Houston gives her the energy to carry on and pack yet another box. (That and the fact that Frieda will give her what-for if she isn't ready by Friday.)
Will you be in Houston this year for the Festival? If so, please visit Frieda and me at our booth #1015.

I am a really good packer! Hmmmm, I think you are too far away from me to come help today. Sigh...Houston is on the bucket list and so is fusing classes from you. Sandi

It looks like the Young Artbrik Employee's preparation for Houston is mighty colorful and inviting, and the Extremely Young Commenter (EYC) loves it! If the EYC lived closer, she would help you pack but unfortunately, she is in North Texas.

The EYC thinks that she will be at the quilt show again this year but is not 100% sure yet. Her husband took a picture of the Young Artfabrik Employee and the EYC last year in your booth when she stopped by. If the EYC cannot make it this year, she shall drag out the picture and stare at it while continually sing "Memories, like the corners of my mind..." the entire weekend of QuiltFest. Tee-hee! D~~~~

It is my dream to go to Houston but it won't be this year. :( I'll be back to hear all about it tho. :)

This doesn't have anything to do with your post, but I wanted to say that I am currently watching your segment on The Art of Quilting. Great job! Fun to see someone that I follow.
