Care to Sing Along With Me?

Kay's quilt inspiration is a photo of  Dash the Dog.
Ever have a song stuck in your brain that you can not get rid of? Hum a few bars of "Deep in the Heart of Texas" and you'll see what I mean.
Kay's pattern made from the photo of Dash the Dog
Today my students, deep in the heart of Texas at Quilting Adventures, took a major leap. Each one launched their original quilt design and began the process of figuring out just how to make their masterpiece. You could see the wheels turning in their little quilter heads.
Julie's dog is not inspired by a photo.
Soon they'll be fusing and building like little bees. Little Texas bees humming...."Deep in the Heart of Texas"!
Jan Krentz is a sweet gal and obviously has a sense of humor.
On a side note: today is my friend Jan Krentz's birthday! Jan, is teaching in the room next to mine at Quilting Adventures. and we have a friendly rivalry going on. Her class came into our class and sang two hilarious songs. Tomorrow we pay her back......on her birthday...... with a few songs from the Chicago School of Fusing Bond Fire Song Book. (With any luck "Deep in the Heart of Texas" will not be one of them.)

I like what the students are doing, can't wait to see how they come out. Good thing I am not there, my voice would scare everyone away, lol.
