How You Know You Are In the Right Room

Quilts by Northern New Mexico Quilt Guild members.
Ever walk into a room full of strangers and feel instantly at home? That's how I felt at a meeting of the Northern New Mexico Quilt Guild in Santa Fe on Monday evening. As I entered the theater where I was to give my lecture, this is what I saw: a field of red, white, and blue.
Over 80 quilts ready to donate to the QOVF.
Members of the NNMQG generously made and donated over 80 quilts to the Quilts of Valor Foundation. Soon they will give them to New Mexico National Guard members returning from their tours of duty in Afghanistan.

Quilt makers are generous people. They welcome everyone. That's why it's easy to walk into a room full of strangers and leave as a friend to all.

Thank you for your post. I am a member but have been out of state for six weeks taking care of family. What a wonderful sight!
