Do You Want to Join the Talent Pool?

Gardener's Cottage by Daryl.
This quilt, by my new best friend Daryl, is based upon the Gardener's Cottage design from my book Fanciful Stitches, Colorful Quilts. Wow! This takes fortitude!
Detail of Daryl's quilt. Note the excellent around the edges.
I met Daryl at the NMQA meeting in Albuquerque. She mentioned she had made the house quilt from the cover of my book and when she sent the photos of the quilt, I was knocked over! This gal has fortitude and talent!

If you'd like to try your hand at making the Gardener's Cottage, please return tomorrow when I'll give away another copy of my book Fanciful Stitches, Colorful Quilts. If you win, you and Daryl can form a Talent Pool!

I just purchased your book, but my work won't look
like that in a hundred years LOL. Looking forward
to getting started on one of the projects. Great
Book !

I need to get motivated this week, think I am fighting off a bug, so have been taking it easy. Hard for me to do, I have so many things to finish and start;)

Absolutely beautiful! Would love to win a copy, and see if I could qualify for the Talent Pool. :)

I have the book and would definitely like to be part of the talent pool. Just have to get the organization of our guild quilt show behind me then I can start a summer project from your book.

Laura, thank you so much for the wonderfully kind words said about me and my quilt (although it's your design). I like being "your new best friend" too. I consider you to be my new best friend too. Plus it's also fun to see something I made on another blog besides my own blog.

Wow I would love to make one of those. I'm sure I would be working on it forever. I've got to get that book.
