A Few of My Favorite Things in Paducah

Quilt week at Paducah is like a big family reunion. You see old friends, catch up on their news, trade scintillating gossip, and usually have a good laugh together. Here are a few of my favorite things found at the AQS show.

The Olfa booth always stops me in my tracks. They let you play with their new toys like these scissors with the really big handle. Perfect for those of us with huge thumbs.
Jan from the Quilt Life.
Jan, editor of The Quilt Life, will give you a free copy of the magazine if you're breathing. There is a really good article on one of my favorite quilters, Susan Marshall, in this month's edition of the magazine. Great photos of Susan's quilts too!
Cute little Hannah works for her dad at Tracey's Tables.
All of my sewing room furniture comes from the friendly folks at Tracey's Tables. The owner, Mike, personally came to my house to measure the spaces for the cabinets. (My sewing studio in down in a basement that you must enter by way of the stairway to hell. Getting the cabinets down there was not easy!)
Justin and Ricky
You are sure to get a beautifully dyed yard of fabric or a song at Ricky Tims' booth. Justin is always cracking jokes and who doesn't love a guy with a sense of humor or a hat? In the background you see one of Ricky's latest quilts. Love those bright colors!

And finally my friends at Accuquilt have gathered all their great dies and cutters to tempt me again. Why does this keep happening?!! You can find my Kay's Bouquet die on the upper right hand side of the display if interested.

Hope you enjoyed our brief tour. Please return tomorrow when I have news about an exciting give away for you!

I would love to be able to try out scissors. I am always buying them and they either break or don't feel comfortable in my hands.

Can't believe that I just ordered your book, Fanciful Stitches, and my girls, who are at the Paducah AQS Show vending(Auntie Ju's Quilt Shoppe Booth 4204/06), stopped by your booth and are bringing me a signed copy of that same book. I've called your office and I hope we can make a change in my order. Love your colorful creations and can't wait to try one when they get home with my book!

Pretty close to heaven, isn't it? One day, I hope to attend, even if I have to be wheeled in!
