What's the Sign of a Creative Person?

Today I shall clean my studio. Why, you ask? Because I have found critters like this lurking in the corners. That and the network of cobwebs revealed when you raise the blinds behind my spools of thread on the window sill. Yikes!
When the sewing studio is clean it looks like this. This image was taken in 2009. That's how long it has been! Although, I like to think that a messy studio is a sign of a creative person.

Then I must be amazingly creative!

lol. The only reason there is ever any semblance to order in my space is that from time to time I have to empty it out for air mattresses.

Amen! I used to have a sign that told me just that, so it must be true!

There is no inspiration in a pristine clean environment. The only reason I clean to that extent is to have a place to spread out the current play pile of fabrics, which in 5 minutes becomes a mess again.

I know that problem, the cobwebs really do build up behind the tables and window areas. I just did it last month and already building up again.

WAY TOO clean! Organized is good - but there have to piles of something somewhere!!

How well I know the problem. My space for walking keeps shrinking. I almost fell the other night when trying to find the presser foot to my regular sewing machine. (switching from embroidery machine to regular machine.) Found it, but declared that an overhaul would be mandatory before another project started. UGH!

I clean up every now and then, usually when I find myself spending more time looking for stuff than I do sewing. Sadly the clean doesn't last long.
