Improvising #4: The Bird Looks Ahead

As our little bird gently glides through the morning sky he looks at the distant horizon. And sees........ nothing. Time to give that bird something to look forward to!
Back to our fused scraps. These oddly shaped cut-aways from previous projects have so much potential. There are fused strips cut with decorative rotary cutter blades, swatches of batik fabrics, and the occasional bits of fused collages waiting for a quilt top.
Color is important of course, but if a fabric scrap has an inviting shape it may trigger a design element. One of these shapes gives me an idea. Which one would you choose to place on the horizon? Stay tuned tomorrow and you'll find out which scrap I picked a a design element for the horizon line.
