What to Do with a Dead Iron

Do you have a dead iron sitting around the house? Is it totally useless and in the way? Here's how to use those irons that have met an early demise. Ink them up with textile paint and voila! You have a stamp.
Now print fabric and astonish your friends!

That's a fabulous idea! I just need to make sure I don't get carried away and turn it on.

Definitely different, would make a fun iron board cover. I want to try some sun printing.

I like the ironing board cover idea! I can see that my storage container for stamps is going to have be larger. lol

I think I'll try this on a t-shirt :) also you can try to get the sole plate loose from the iron, so you don't have to keep the whole dead iron around.

I don't have a dead one right now, but at the rate I go through irons, it won't be long. Thanks for the tip.

Brilliant! It might make a great "stamp" for batiking as well!
